Todays WOD is a deadlift day.

10,000 / 7000 lb challenge.

This will be a partner day where one will perform and the other counts.

Men are to deadlift 10,000 lbs, and women deadlift 7000 lbs as fast as possible. The key is to sort out what weight you will do and how many reps relative to that weight used.

Example, men 10,000lbs for time.

  • If using 200lbs, 50 reps = 10,000
  • 150lbs = round up to 67 reps to reach 10,000
  • 225 = round up to 45 reps

Same goes for women and their weight/rep ratio.

This will be a fun one but also pretty tough. You have to dig deep and work with a weight that will not kill your technique.

Do not be offended if we do not recommend a weight you have chosen. It is not intended as an insult but as protection to your body. If we say no, that is how it is with this one.

  5. Great work lunch crew!
I’m happy to see everyone being able to punch through the fatigue and get the work done!

Feel free to stop by between 6-7 tonight to get a look at some scared people trying CrossFit for the first time.

  6. I notice Amy W did 70,000lbs today 😉

    • I don’t argue with her….if she says she did 70K, i just write it down…

  8. That’s a good time for 70,000 lbs.

  10. This has to be my most favorite workout yet.

Amy forced me to go slow and really work on my form. Sometimes it helps to slow things down and just focus on form and reps instead of time. Trust me I needed it.

7:56 with 95lbs. My form is looking better. Thanks Amy!

Oh and I had my first Callus rip. I never thought that I would be proud of that…weird.
