We row today.

How it will be done is this. We base everything off our 500 m time. A solid time on the 500 m row is 1:30min. For every 5 secs over 1:30min, you add 10 reps to the following exercises.  We will be doing this for 3 rounds, and obviously your rowing output will determine how much work is to follow.

Starting reps will be 5 of each

  • Kettlebell Swing
  • V-Snaps
  • Box Jumps

Row hard, and reward yourself with less reps.

  1. does that mean we row 3 times?

    or do we just row once, and then do 3 rounds using our 500m time?

  2. Crap – it took me 2 min to row 500m last time I tried.

  3. My arms are rubber and my legs are burning… didn’t have time to finish the third set, great workout though.

  4. This WOD was just wrong. 😉 A couple people said this was the worst MetCon they’ve participated in, and I couldn’t agree more!

    3 Round Breakdown:
    Rowing: 1:30.5 = 5 reps each
    Rowing: 1:38.7 = 15 reps each
    Rowing: 1:40.5 = 25 reps each

    Used 50lb Kettlebell

  5. I call this one: Your damn if you do, your damn if you don’t. I’m not sure what the best approach is since I went gang busters on the rowing and I’m still dizzy 1 hour after the workout. Maybe I could have gone a little easier on the rowing and do more reps???

    Round 1: 129.5
    Round 2: 132.5
    Round 3: 135.7 (missed it by .7 seconds and had to do 15 reps)

    2) 1:34.9 !!!! = 5 reps
    3) 1:36.7 = 15 reps (did 25, brain stopped working)

    Used 70 lb KB

    3) 2.04.5

    35 reps each – I didn’t get the box jumps in on the second round. I needed the extra recovery time.
