What’s your excuse for not getting in the best shape of your life??

  3. i read the list this morning at work, i can honestly say that before i started at the gym i had some of those thoughts. i thought about how ‘bad’ i would be compared to everyone else that would be there, especially in physical shape. I can’t say enough how glad i am that Joanna kept ‘nagging’ me to give it a try. It’s the best thing i’ve ever done for me! 🙂

  6. There are many at the gym now who motivate me to keep my training on track. It also renews my enthusiasm to get others to press through their tough spots. CrossFit is a great program and I think our box does a pretty good job finding something for everyone… so many monsters here…so pumped about it.
    And Ray “the Manimal”, and Sherri are destroying the age excuse along with a few others…it’s so great.

  8. If you have not had the…pleasure (?) of doing a WOD with Ray, I highly recommend it. He has my vote for most intense, entertaining and motivating member. I also recommend moving his kettlebell during his WOD. 🙂

    Sherri has me pumped to get in today.

  12. I’ve only been at Cross Fit for a couple weeks, but I can’t say enough about the folks there. Everyone has beenn so welcoming, and so encouraging. I don’t even feel self conscious about being the biggest one there, because that won’t last for long I can tell you. Age excuse?? Hell no! For everyone 36 years old and younger, I am old enough to be your mother (my oldest is 36 in January). Age is only a number, and a pitiful excuse for not living life to the fullest. Thank you Sherri, I can’t thank you enough for being my best friend, my best motivator, and the one not scared to tell me to get my butt moving!!!! And remember – you’ll pass out before you die!!!!

  14. What’s with all the call-Greg-out stuff lately, “Manny”?

    And no, I didn’t do them for only one reason: I have not figured out how to do full ROM on the tires yet without wrenching on my lower back because my legs are out of the equation, and legs are a key component of doing GHD situps correctly (ie – without back pain).

    WOD: 7:53 @ Rx’d (95lbs)

    Mobility WOD:
    – 5 minutes of wide grip “Darth Shoulder”
    – 3 minutes of close grip “Darth Shoulder”

  17. used 125 for the cleans! went hard on this one bc i wanted to move the weight fast and also bc i had to be at work soon! time was 6 something!

    I struggled with burpees HARD tonight. Dust off and try again tomorrow 😉

    Inspiration everywhere…and some laughs.
    Leah’s sweat angel was a unique occurence. Recovery position laying on stomach generates some different creations…

    Anyhow, did this at 6pm… Chose a weight slightly more than 1/2 BW.
    105lb… went hard. But a little too hard at the start.
    5:46 was the time.

    And I would like everyone to welcome a new person, David just complete his fundamentals this evening. I believe he will be joining us for his first WOD at 6pm tomorrow evening.
