Boston Strong

5 Rounds
4 Squat Clean and Jerks (185,125)
15 Chest to Bar Pull-ups
13 Burpee lateral jumps over barbell

After 5 rounds are complete:
800m run

The Reps of this WOD represent the date of the Boston Marathon bombing.




  1. Tough one for me today, one injury starts to heal and a new one sneaks out of the wood work. Got through one round and had to bail, something in my shoulder is not happy. Failed to doing 5 rounds of 10 pushups / 10 burpees / 10 squats / 10 lunges / 10 situps instead. Time on that was 10:39

    even doing one round, this was a tough one. props to everyone at noon today, that was a monster!

  2. Everything SMac said, but in the final round of that WOD, my back knotted, and I had to modify that. Not a great day but I still got a sweat on.

    • And big props to Mark for gutting that out Rx. That was sheer nastiness.

  3. Had to mod this because my wrist is not 100% I can’t currently even clean the bar so have to rest it. I did back squats at 210 instead. Finished in 25:20 was happy with my time but would have liked to not mod. I always have a harder time with the long wods but I’m finding mentally and physically it’s getting easier for sure.

  4. WOD : 29:21 @ 75lbs and regular pull-ups…..I was like a snail on the 800m run 🙂

    Great job noon crew!!!

    • The run was the most terrible part of the entire workout.

  6. My step daughter wasp all night so instead of 6am I did my best with why I had to work with at my work gym which wasn’t much. I did tuesdays wod minus the deadlifts because the bar broken in two somehow…

  7. Hi there! I am a CrossFit Saint John Newbie – and can’t wait to meet all of you!

    Just watching the workouts when I come in for Fundamentals, I see how impressive and strong you all are, which makes me want to work hard to get there. We had our WOD modified (but reading your posts, I think the lingo is mod the WOD) so it was: 4 clean and jerks (55#), 15 pull ups (band), 13 lateral burpees x 3 rounds and a 400m run. Finished this in 11:30 (had to walk a bit on my run, because I pushed myself hard during the first part – next time I’ll know how to properly pace). Hurtin’ unit today, but loving every minute of it. Great job to everyone with Thursday’s workout and Happy Friday! 🙂
